I'm A 70 year old man inflicted with emphyzema (a disease of the lungs) and tethered to a 50 foot oxygen line in the house. I still get out with the aid of portable oxygen tanks on a cart. I came down with this about five years ago and it's been progressively getting worse to the point of where it is now. I can't do much else now except work with my drawing. Because of the steroids that I require, they caused me to become legally blind two years ago. With implants of artificial lens in both eyes, I now see almost perfectly. The first of last year, the steroids caused osteoperosis in six of my vertibrae and deformed disc in my spine. This caused compression fractures in the spine. I've had three surgeries on them in 2008 and that corrected that problem. I have done over four hundred drawings since starting to draw again in 2006. I haven't done any drawing for some twenty years now, but now have this wonderful talent to fall back on. I quit drawing for a while in 2008 because I was really getting to the point that I felt that it was a worthless hobby that hardly anyone appreciated my efforts. I'm gradually getting back into it again. I'm trying more complex works to try to improve my drawings .Practice, practice, practice. The route to improvement.
